Students Present at Jean Monnet Course on European Integration

Sakarya University of Applied Sciences – As part of the Jean Monnet Course on European Integration, students from the International Trade and Finance Department recently delivered a series of presentations, demonstrating their research and understanding of the European Union’s policies and their global impacts.

The course, led by Dr. Ceren Türkmen, focuses on fostering a deeper understanding of European integration, EU institutions, and the broader economic and political dimensions of the EU’s influence on global trade. The students presented on various topics, including EU trade agreements, the digital transformation in Europe, and sustainability initiatives within the EU framework.

Dr. Türkmen praised the students for their hard work and insightful presentations. "These presentations are a crucial component of the course, encouraging students to engage critically with real-world EU issues and to apply theoretical concepts in practical scenarios," she said. She also highlighted the importance of the Jean Monnet Module, funded by the European Commission, in preparing students for careers in international trade and finance.

The presentations were well-received, showcasing the students’ ability to analyze complex topics such as EU energy policies, the European Green Deal, and the EU’s role in global economic governance. One student commented, "This experience helped me connect the dots between European policies and global market trends."

Dr. Türkmen's Jean Monnet course continues to provide students with valuable insights into European integration, equipping them with the skills and knowledge needed to navigate the complexities of international trade and finance in an increasingly interconnected world.
